The ARBES AMS information system for investment services is running in software as a service mode

SaaS

ARBES Technologies, a supplier of software solutions for investment banking and financial services, has launched its Asset Management Suite (AMS) information system in software as a service (SaaS) mode in April 2023. Today, it brings insights and experience after a year of operations at its client, Slovak securities trader Winners Investments o.c.p., a.s.

The ARBES AMS information system runs on technical resources in the cloud, with leased computing capacity and hardware. This approach to infrastructure and services brings a number of benefits to the operator. "In its role as a supplier, the ARBES AMS team has focused primarily on improving the flexibility of the solution with respect to the current workload and adapting it to current needs, stability and efficient and reliable operation," says Martin Marušinec, IT manager of the ARBES AMS team. It remains in the mutual interest of both the supplier and the client to continue to improve the system and its functionalities.

Flexibility and reduced costs

The advantage of this business model is the significant reduction of the internal IT team, the potential to quickly adjust data storage capacity and computing power as needed. In addition, the SaaS model minimizes capital costs for setting up internal IT infrastructure and reduces overall operational requirements.

In terms of payments, the service may or may not include fixed payments. Billing for services is based on actual time worked, which benefits the client by reducing fixed monthly costs.

The operation of ARBES AMS in the form of a "software as a service" business model is also approved by the financial market supervisory authority. The only restriction being the need to physically locate the data storage facility within the registered office of the operator.

Plans for the future

ARBES Technologies is ready to offer this business model for the operation of the ARBES AMS information system to other interested parties, if requested. Currently, a SaaS delivery project is already in the works for a partner outside the EU. The client is a foreign bank, for which the ARBES AMS system will provide automation in investment banking and wealth management.
